Cortex Docs does not sell personal data and does not run advertising tags. The website uses optional Google Analytics cookies to understand traffic. Where consent is required, Google Analytics is not loaded until you accept.
1. Who operates this website
The Cortex Docs maintainers operate cortexdocs.dev, its documentation, and the public demo (together, the “Website”). For privacy purposes, Cortex Docs is the controller of the data described here.
2. What this policy covers
This policy covers visits to the Website and messages you send to the maintainers. It does not govern a documentation site that you generate or host yourself with Cortex Docs. The operator of that site is responsible for its own privacy practices.
Cortex Docs is open-source software. Running the CLI or generated code in your own environment does not send your API specifications to this marketing Website unless you separately choose to publish them here.
3. Data we process
- Technical request data. Our hosting and security provider may process IP addresses, request times, requested paths, browser headers, and security signals to deliver and protect the Website.
- Analytics data. When Google Analytics is allowed to run, it measures page views, approximate region, browser and device type, traffic source, and site interactions enabled for our web stream.
- Demo requests. The embedded demo is served from demo.cortexdocs.dev. Loading it creates a normal web request that can include the same technical request data described above.
- Correspondence. If you contact the maintainers, we process your address and message so we can respond.
We do not use Google Analytics to collect API specifications, generated SDK source code, MCP tool inputs, account data, or payment data through this Website.
4. Why we process data
- To deliver, secure, and troubleshoot the Website.
- To understand which pages are useful and improve the project.
- To answer questions, security reports, and privacy requests.
- To comply with legal obligations and protect legal rights.
Depending on where you live, our legal bases are consent for optional analytics, legitimate interests in operating and securing the Website, and compliance with applicable law.
6. Service providers and transfers
- Cloudflare provides hosting, delivery, and security services for the Website.
- Google LLC and Google Ireland Limited provide Google Analytics when it is allowed to run.
These providers may process data outside your country. Where required, transfers are protected by the provider’s applicable data protection terms and recognised transfer safeguards. You can read Google’s privacy policy and Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
7. Retention
Analytics cookies remain for the periods in the table unless you turn Analytics off or clear browser data sooner. Security and request logs are retained only as long as reasonably needed to operate, protect, and troubleshoot the Website. Correspondence is retained while needed to resolve the request and meet legal obligations.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or receive your personal data, object to processing, withdraw consent, and complain to a data protection authority. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.

9. Children
The Website is intended for software developers and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly use it to collect personal data from children.
10. Changes
We may update this policy as the Website or its providers change. The effective date at the top identifies the current version. Material changes will be highlighted where reasonably possible.
