Terms of Use

1. Agreement

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) apply when you access cortexdocs.dev, its documentation, or its hosted demo (together, the “Website”). By using the Website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Website.

2. The Cortex Docs project

Cortex Docs generates documentation, SDKs, and MCP servers from API specifications and Markdown. The Website provides project information, documentation, examples, and an interactive demo.

Source code is licensed under the licence included in its repository or package. If these Terms conflict with an open-source licence for a specific piece of code, that open-source licence controls your use, copying, modification, and distribution of that code.

3. Permitted use

You may browse the Website, use the public demo for evaluation, and use project materials as permitted by their applicable licences. You are responsible for complying with laws and third-party rights that apply to your use.

You must not:

• interfere with or attempt to bypass Website security or limits;
• use the Website to distribute malware or conduct unlawful activity;
• misrepresent your relationship with Cortex Docs or its maintainers;
• use automated traffic that unreasonably disrupts the Website; or
• use project names or marks in a way that suggests endorsement.

4. Your APIs and generated output

You remain responsible for API specifications, Markdown, code, and other material you process with Cortex Docs. You must have the rights needed to use that material and must not expose secrets or personal data in a public deployment.

Generated documentation, SDKs, MCP tools, and AI-assisted output can contain errors. Review, test, and secure generated output before production use. You are responsible for integrations and decisions made from that output.

5. The hosted demo

The demo is provided for exploration and may use sample data or temporary services. Do not submit confidential information, personal data, credentials, or production secrets to it. We may reset, change, rate-limit, or discontinue the demo at any time.

6. Third-party services

The Website links to or embeds services operated by others, including GitHub, Cloudflare, and Google Analytics. Their terms and privacy practices apply to their services. A link does not mean that Cortex Docs endorses everything on the linked service.

7. Project content and feedback

Unless an open-source licence says otherwise, the Website’s design, branding, and original editorial content are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. “Cortex Docs” and related branding may not be used to imply sponsorship or endorsement.

If you submit feedback or contributions, the repository’s contribution terms and applicable open-source licence govern them.

8. Availability and disclaimers

The Website, demo, documentation, and open-source software are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cortex Docs disclaims implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, and uninterrupted availability.

Documentation may be incomplete or out of date, and the Website may be unavailable without notice. Nothing on the Website is legal, security, financial, or other professional advice.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cortex Docs and its maintainers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunity arising from the Website or demo.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Your mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.

10. Suspension and changes

We may restrict access when reasonably necessary to protect the Website, other users, or the project. We may also update the Website and these Terms. The effective date identifies the current version. Continued use after an update means the updated Terms apply.

11. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how the Website handles personal data, Analytics, and cookie choices.

12. General

If part of these Terms is unenforceable, the remaining parts stay in effect. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These Terms do not create a partnership, employment, agency, or joint venture between you and the Cortex Docs maintainers.
